  1. i like the way you're approaching this. i'd be interested to see the variation (or lack thereof) across the culture from which the child/youth is coming and the reason for which the child/youth is a refugee. granted, tiny sample, that may be more difficult to assess. but what if attachment, acculturation, and issues that *look* like mental health all present similarly for youth with very different backgrounds and experiences? you might discover some universal adjustment components! that is, if you were being a little more functionalist about it...could be a good foundation for that national study you'd consider a little later on down the road...
